Brazen thief breaks-into Beverly Grove home while family slept inside A Beverly Grove family is concerned for their safety after home surveillance cameras captured a brazen burglar who broke into their home while they were asleep and swiped cash and the family car. The incident occurred on Sept. 10 around 3:30 a.m. with the thief jumping a locked gate and wandering around the backyard before slipping inside the home.  Rabbi Moshe Nourollah, the homeowner, examined the damage where the thief broke in and said he still can’t believe that someone would do that.  “Coming in the middle of the night, bombarding somebody’s house, stealing, that’s insane, you know what I mean?” he told KTLA.  The security cameras on the home did not deter the crook, and the family’s alarm system was not activated.  “He came in from the back door,” Batya Nourollah said. “Police said he pried open the door, he came inside, took the wallet. He came upstairs where I was sleeping in my bedroom. It's mortifying."It wasn’t until the next day that the Nourollah’s ...

Despite miscues, SF Giants earn walk-off win to keep pace in NL wild card race SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Giants and their fans are more worried about wins than style points at this juncture of the season – especially with the race for the National League’s final wild card spot being so nip-and-tuck.That said, if the Giants want to be a part of the postseason, they probably need to play some cleaner games than they did Monday night against the Cleveland Guardians.Still, despite committing three errors and going 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position through the first eight innings, the Giants managed a 5-4, 10-inning win over the Guardians before an announced crowd of 20,705, the third smallest of the season at Oracle Park.Down 4-3 in the 10th inning, Blake Sabol singled to right to score Joc Pederson from second base. Sabol then stole second base, advanced to third on a balk by Emmanuel Clase, then scored on a walk-off single by LaMonte Wade Jr.With the win, San Francisco caught the Miami Marlins in the NL wild-card standings, as both teams ar...
