LOUIS -- A 56-year-old man from St. Louis, Missouri, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison without parole on December 22. Cregg L. Matthews was caught with over 31 pounds of methamphetamine in his luggage at a Kansas City bus station. He was found guilty on June 6, 2023, for possessing and intending to sell drugs.Back on March 9, 2019, investigators received a tip that Matthews, traveling by bus from California, would arrive in Kansas City with a large amount of meth. The K9 unit detected drugs in Matthews' suitcase and a black bag he was carrying. St. Peters man catches state record fish from Missouri River Matthews, previously convicted for drug offenses and statutory rape, had been released from parole a year before committing this federal offense. Hospital needs help identifying man found in Hollywood Officials are asking the public for help in identifying a man who was brought to a Glendale hospital after being found near a Home Depot in Hollywood earlier this month. The unidentified patient, believed to be between 45 and 49 years old, was found on a street outside the Home Depot located at 1440 N. St. Andrews Pl. on Dec. 6, Dignity Health posted in a news release. An EMS team picked him up and transported him to a hospital in Glendale. The news release did not name the hospital. The man had no documentation or evidence that could help identify him, so officials are hoping the public can help. He is around 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs between 125 and 135 pounds, and has black eyes, black hair and a beard with a mustache.
